- Promotion and support of international student activities including the ISPRS Student Consortium.

Planned activities
- Regular exchange of information with the WG members.
- Setup and maintenance of a WEB page for the working group.
- Active participation in the Technical Commission VI Symposium in Tokyo in 2006 and the 21th ISPRS Congress in Beijing in 2008.
- Organization of events (workshops, seminars, tutorials). Currently, the following events are planned:
- Organisation of a student summer school in June 2005 in Istanbul.
- Co-sponsoring of “The Fourth International Symposium on Multispectral Image Processing and Patern Recognition”, 31 October – 2 November, 2005 , P.R. China
- Other events, especially for 2006/07, will be proposed at a later stage.
Preparation of reports and WG news to be published in the ISPRS Highlights.
